What's it about?
After a 7 year gap we're bringing back Post of the Month but this time the lucky winner will be the recipient of a fantastic Post of the Month badge from MSE Badger! Woohoo - we can feel your excitement here in MSE Towers
Who's MSE Badger and what's it about?
You may have seen some of MSE Badger's badges on forumites' profiles e.g., on the Debt Free Wannabe and Mortgage Free Wannabe boards where people have cleared their debts and paid off their mortgage early. And perhaps on the Grabbit board where forumites' fantastic spots have been included in the weekly email.
What to do
Please nominate the forum post and poster you feel have been most useful or helpful this month (October) by posting the link to their post in this thread and telling us why you feel the forumite deserves to win a Post of the Month badge.
Maybe you've seen a fab frugal idea on the Old Style Board, a bargain game console on the Gaming Board or a fantastic grow-your-own tip on Greenfingered MoneySaving.
Remember, by doing this you're nominating, NOT voting - there is a difference!
How to nominate
- Post the link to the specific thread/post you're nominating. To do it highlight the web address of the thread/post when you're viewing it from the address bar at the top of the screen and copy (press 'control' and 'c') and paste ('control' and 'v').
- In one paragraph say why you feel this forumite deserves a Post of the Month badge.
How will we pick the winner?
At the end of the month the MSE Team will shortlist the 10 posts we like the best and put them in a poll for you to vote on. The post with the most votes will win the badge - hooray!
Could you do with a Money Makeover?

I would like to nominate this post ...

The forumite concerned does a lot of good work behind the scenes, keeping the forum running, etc, etc.
I feel that she would appreciate the badge, as she hasn't got one of that kind as yet, and it would fit nicely (assuming it will be reduced in size) into the current space at the end of her existing 5 badges.0 -
Haha!
Thanks Mandelbrot but this is one especially for forumites
You don't seem to have any badges yet. Are there any we could give you? Show us your post as proof and we'll see what we can doCould you do with a Money Makeover?

Didn't there used to be a £50 monthly prize to be won for this?
I'm sure a long a long time member mentioned it once.0 -

I nominate Visa debit card - section 75???
I don't think that it can really win, but I hope it at last draws attention of MSExperts to the facts that- 'Chargeback protection' equally applies to credit and debit cards transactions,
- 'Section 75 protection' generally equally applies to credit and debit cards transactions,
- Titles of MSE articles are incorrect, not to say misleading:
