One of the best parts of uni can be the societies that you join during Freshers Week. Of course there's always your standard History Soc, or English Soc, but what are the strangest ones you've seen at a uni?
Personally, I had quite a range at my uni - I think the farthest reaches had to be either Quidditch Soc or Allotment Soc. It was weird to walk through campus and see students gardening peacefully next to students running around on 'broomsticks' chasing after a quaffle!

UEA has a Quidditch society, in the talk about student life, one of the students giving the talk said how they actually play Quidditch. There's others as well, a few which you'd expect to find at a uni have names which could make you think it's something else eg the rock, metal & alternative music society is called Deviant. http://www.ueastudent.com/groups#club-society#all, click on load more to 'scroll' down the list.0
